The Fairmont Empress

I contacted Aitan Roubini at Mac Zen to assist in developing and enhancing the iPad amenity program for the Fairmont Gold guest's at The Fairmont Empress. Even though there were plenty of hotel colleagues with Apple and iPad experience and knowledge, I wanted more than just a few apps down loaded from the Apple store for guests to utilize.

What I wanted was a stable and secure iPad platform that could be easily wiped, reloaded and reset by the Fairmont Gold team after every guest use in order to provide security and the integrity of the iPad amenity program. I am definitely not a Apple or iPad expert, however I gave Aitan the vision of what I needed and he certainly raised to the challenge.

Not only did he create a very specific solution for my vision for the iPads, but he also delivered a very well thought-out workflow, supporting manual, and solution that has provided consistently reproducible and reliable results.

In addition, Aitan conducted an excellent presentation and training session with the Fairmont Gold team. The unique custom training manual he created is a wonderful step by step guide for the team members who were not able to attend this training session. 

Since Aitan created this stable iPad platform, I have seen many guests utilizing the iPads with the confidence that each guest is operating a completely refreshed iPad containing no data or information from a previous guest.

After using this platform for a few weeks, without any problems what so ever,  we presented Aitan with a list of revisions, additions and ideas from our guests, colleagues and our own Corporate office which Aitan promptly applied to the base profile of each iPad.
