Customize each and every space the way you want using colors, desktop pictures, text labels and even the name of each space! WHAT'S NEW Version 1.0.2:
Fixes a problem where the animation speed was not respected by some of the desktop decorations.
Fixes a problem where Hyperspaces would not quit or work after logging out of an account (either by shutdown or fast user switching)
Fixes a problem where the Dock Switcher would not appear in the correct location on multiple monitor setups. I still have a couple of reports that this is not working with certain Dock orientations, so please submit feedback if this affects you.

Fixes a number of common crashes.
Desktop labels will animate again in this build.
Improved error reporting - Hyperspaces will now ask you to submit error reports for recoverable errors.

Resolves an issue where preferences were not being updated properly, and space settings were lost from older versions.
Version 1.0:

Mac Zen's shared items in Google Reader >> This is a dynamically fed article and is not authored by Mac Zen Filed under: Odds and ends, iPhone, iPod touch It was just last week that TomTom offered a new version of its nav app for the US (minus Canadian data) for $49.99US [iTunes link]. That didn't make people who bought the full version for a hundred bucks and never needed the Canadian info anyway filled with joy. Now, TomTom has dropped the price of the version that does include both the U.S. and Canada to $69.99 [ iTunes link] until December 28, making those earlier customers even more unhappy.
Price cuts, of course, are a way of life, and no one should be surprised that competition drives down prices. In my view, most of the iPhone GPS navigators are priced too high. I think somewhere between $35 and $50 is about right considering that you are providing all the hardware. Hardware solutions have really plummeted in price, with many selling for close to $100.00.

Mac Zen's shared items in Google Reader >> This is a dynamically fed article and is not authored by Mac Zen TimeTable 1.8.3 With TimeTable, you can view, analyze and total the hours you have recorded in your iCal calendars. Since you already use your calendars to plan your time, this data is perfect for tracking time, event & project planning and billing customers for time you have worked.
Your events are edited and stored in iCal. TimeTable reads the events directly from your calendar in real time based on the timeframe you pick. Standard features include:
Viewing overall hour based totals and averages
Viewing individual event details
Search your results by Title, Notes or Location
Once you have selected the timeframe you want, TimeTable can export this data to text or comma separated values so you can use the results in other tools like email, invoicing, time tracking or spreadsheet applications.
Since TimeTable only reads iCal data, there is nothing to save or backup.

Mac Zen's shared items in Google Reader >> This is a dynamically fed article and is not authored by Mac Zen
Mac OS X is a wonder. When it comes to personal information management, entertainment and the Internet, it’s got all the basics covered. Beyond that, there are a handful of “essential” apps most Mac owners install on a new machine within minutes of booting it up for the first time. Handbrake is undoubtedly one of those essentials. And it just got a serious new upgrade.
Handbrake is a very handy (pun intended) DVD-ripping utility that converts DVDs to self-contained video files that can be played back on a computer or mobile device. (Contrary to the outright lies of major motion picture studios, there’s nothing wrong with having digital backups of movies you already own). In addition, DVDs can be converted into a number of formats, resolutions and aspect ratios. For many years, it has served as the single easiest way to get my movies off-of DVD discs and onto my iPods, iPhones and even my PSP.
The latest release, Handbrake 0.9.4, includes support for Snow Leopard, and is also available in 64-bit editions for both Leopard and Snow Leopard. It also adds the ability to include multiple subtitle tracks to exported video and a new “live preview” for viewing the likely outcome of an export before committing to a lengthy rip.
According to the release notes on the Handbrake website, the latest version includes new features like “macroblock tree rate control” and “weighted P-Frame prediction.” I’ve absolutely no idea what any of that means, and although they do provide links to explanatory articles, it made my head swim. I’ll just assume it’s all very swish and futuristic and good for my rips.
The introduction of a 64-bit version is good news for those of us using true 64-bit multi-core processors, though the performance increase is a fairly modest 10 percent. The software also... Continue Reading Original Article on Source Site

Mac Zen's shared items in Google Reader >> This is a dynamically fed article and is not authored by Mac Zen Section: iPod + iTunes, iPod touch, iPhone, iPhone, iPhone SDK & Apps
In celebration of Thanksgiving (and likely Black Friday as well), Agile Web Solutions is offering their iPhone app known as 1Password Pro touch to its customers completely free of charge (the app normally goes for $7.99). If you’re interested in this deal, don’t wait too long; the offer is only valid until December 1st.
Even if you don’t use the Mac version of this app, 1Password touch is a great password manager for your iPhone or iPod touch, as it stores all of your important information?such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, software license keys, and many more?very securely. Features of 1Password Pro touch include two levels of security (depending on how sensitive the data is), cut and paste functionality, and even a built-in web browser to ease the whole process of storing all of your personal information. However, if you really want to get the most out of this great app, you’re going to need to get yourself a copy of the Mac version of 1Password. The biggest benefit of doing so is being able to sync your information between your iDevice and Mac, which can be essential to some.
If you’re wondering what the differences are between the standard and pro versions of 1Password touch are, the pro version include folders for better organization, the ability to copy more than one field for pasting elsewhere, and a switching mode to quickly copy and paste information into MobileSafari. Also, coming soon are Favorites and even MobileMe and WebDAV syncing.
If you’re currently running the standard version of 1Password touch on your iDevice, make sure to back up all of your data before removing it and upgrading. Or, if you have the Mac version of 1Password, you can simply ensure all your... Continue Reading Original Article on Source Site

November 26, 2009 6:00 AMMac Games has announced the release of Zen Stones, a logic puzzle game for Apple computers. Additionally, a Flash version of Zen Stones is available to play online for free. Zen Stones incorporates match three elements with strategic placement of smooth stones. Why Zen? With the tagline "Relax, it's just a game," Zen Stones is meant to inspire relaxation and calm while the brain is hard at work solving puzzle levels. The dichotomy of these actions creates an impulse to continue playing, yet the game play is described by players as being tranquilly addictive. The game goal is simple: pass as many levels as you can by clearing the board. The game board is set up with tiles on the periphery of the square. There are a few scattered tiles on the board, and the goal is to remove all the tiles in the center. In order to accomplish this feat you must click on tiles on the border, they will fly out either across, up or down and when you match three or more like-color tiles, they will disappear. When there is not a match, that tile will stay on the board with the direction arrow on it to show players which way it will go if and when it is released. In addition, if there is a tile next to an available tile on the outside of the game board, you cannot move it. If you fill the board completely with tiles, the game is over. It's not as easy as it sounds. It takes a little strategy, a little logic and a little luck. The luck comes in the form of bonuses or power-ups and these are numerous. The downloadable full version of Zen Stones costs $3.99 USD. Follow the links below for more information.
